We are doing little radical things at our house. Maybe if I create a list, we will continue?
Eggs. We are not giving our eggs away anymore - we are giving them with "if you'd like to donate for our eggs, we are giving the money to children who have hungry bellies. Because we have plenty of food for our bellies." **sent our first to Renee today 11-6-10 woo!! **third installment sent off 10/22/11
Child sponsoring. Ours are named are Habib, Christine and Isaiah. I am delighted with Children's Hope Chest and my sweet friend Melanie who is the connection to our Adacar, Uganda carepoint. Woooo!! We are feeding these little ones and making a difference! Of the 211 children, she has less than 100 left who still need sponsorship - then, when the children line up for meals, every one will get a portion. Sounds good.
Appliances. I've decided to stop grumbling. A friend reminded me that God preserved the clothes and shoes of the Israelites as they wandered their 40 years. And He is preserving my fridg and my microwave and my couch and my dryer. I will not covet new ones - I'm getting seriously glad that I can use our money on more worthy investments.
Arbonne for Adoption. Well, you can read about that on the other link. I'm stepping out. I don't care if you think I am just in this for the money - I will not blush or get stammery - praise the Lord!. I'm not "just" and God has big plans for this money. Watch and see!!! Glory to God - I will not hold back from a great God idea just because I fear how I will appear - what foolish bondage that is.
Bread and Dairy. Keeping it on the low down, because it feels a little wack-o, but I'm milling the grain and baking the bread and culturing the kefir. Partly because it's fun, partly because I think it's better for us, partly because it reminds me of how hard other people work to feed their families each day. Kevin won't let me get a cow, wisely.
More to come.
Hebrews 12:3 Consider Him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you will not grow weary and lose heart.
