“God is not a belief to which you give your assent. God becomes a reality whom you know intimately, meet everyday, one whose strength becomes your strength, whose love, your love. Live this life of the presence of God long enough and when someone asks you, “Do you believe there is a God?” you may find yourself answering, “No, I do not believe there is a God. I know there is a God.” ~Ernest Boyer, Jr. (Thanks, Ann)

He loves me

I like it when God tells me He loves me with little silly things. Like this:

Yesterday morning as I was tidying up Anna's crib (restacking all her belongings around its perimeter since that's her "room" until she moves out of our room and in with Ruby), I said "Lord, I need to buy more diapers soon and I don't have any coupons. How could I get some coupons?" And then last night at my Arbonne party, the hostess says "does anybody buy huggies?" What?!?! Thank you, God!

And a few weeks ago when Mom and Dad visited, Mom reminded me of Jr Great Books - a series of readings I did with my classmates in Ele School - the reading and discussing and thinking shaped the way I read and think today - I often remember it. So I thought, "I wonder how my kids could get that same experience as homeschoolers - I wonder what could work out for that." And then yesterday another family offered the whole book series on our email list for $4. What?!?! How cool.

He loves me so well.
