“God is not a belief to which you give your assent. God becomes a reality whom you know intimately, meet everyday, one whose strength becomes your strength, whose love, your love. Live this life of the presence of God long enough and when someone asks you, “Do you believe there is a God?” you may find yourself answering, “No, I do not believe there is a God. I know there is a God.” ~Ernest Boyer, Jr. (Thanks, Ann)

This is school

First day photo!! We worked really hard to get Isaac excited in this photo. He was still dealing with the "I can never do this" and the "I wish I was Kindergarten" conundrum. Ruby and baby are both eager. And Peter, well can't you tell?!?!

Every morning we have cuddle time: we pray, we do Read and Repeat (I read and they repeat - right now we're on Psalm 100), and then we read-aloud (switching between Uncle Wiggly and Mr Popper's Penguin so far). And since it's beautiful August, we did it outside. Before the bees woke up! Isaac followed along in a treasured Gideon's Bible.

And this is what home school boys do when they need a break - go lay on the warm concrete - perfect place for a rest!
