“God is not a belief to which you give your assent. God becomes a reality whom you know intimately, meet everyday, one whose strength becomes your strength, whose love, your love. Live this life of the presence of God long enough and when someone asks you, “Do you believe there is a God?” you may find yourself answering, “No, I do not believe there is a God. I know there is a God.” ~Ernest Boyer, Jr. (Thanks, Ann)

Peter's pictures

In Myrtle Beach (yes, weeks ago - and I haven't finished all those emails yet either - who cares - this is more important), Peter practiced his photography skills with this cool new camera from Papa and Grandma. And he took great shots - in and out of the water. I'm not posting all of them - like not the ones of things out his window from the car. Maybe he'll disagree, but he can get his own blog. I refrained, also, from posting the pictures of me underwater - no, not quite public-viewing-appropriate. Also those from strangers underwater - ugh, a bit odd - but very giggly for a almost-7-yr-old. Peter documented our incredible swimming progress, a cool alligator at the State Park (chomping on a man's hat), the sharks in the aquarium (not the beach).

OK, I'll add some more: The crew valiantly building a dike so that the tide wouldn't come in so far and wash away our tent and gear. It did eventually topple that brave little dike and we had to pull up stakes and go home for the day.
Like Ruby fiercely kicking all over the pool with that noodle wrapped around her.
Traveling beauty-queen. Yes, that is really the lovely Ruby at a rest-stop.
I cropped out the stranger so you could see Peter doing a hand stand.
