“God is not a belief to which you give your assent. God becomes a reality whom you know intimately, meet everyday, one whose strength becomes your strength, whose love, your love. Live this life of the presence of God long enough and when someone asks you, “Do you believe there is a God?” you may find yourself answering, “No, I do not believe there is a God. I know there is a God.” ~Ernest Boyer, Jr. (Thanks, Ann)

Training Wheels, Gone!!

Isaac is amazing!! Kevin discovered him on Peter's bike, in flip-flops and no shirt: "practicing." He taught himself!!?? What?!

Imagine: Isaac attempts to take his bike down Papa Ken's new giant stone steps, bike crashes (not with Isaac) and training wheel is irreparably bent. Isaac grieves, then returns to Papa's driveway where Peter's whole-and-healthy bike leers at him. Heck, I can do it! So he climbs on and rides (precariously close to Papa's large green truck). Wooo-hooo!!! Dad!!! Guess what I did!!! Dad comes up to see flip-flop, bare chest boy careening back toward the garage?!? Yes, that is our Isaac.

So, after better out-fitting with real shoes and shirt - they all travel to the bike-path for a real experiment in no-training-wheels. Just a few crashes and minor screeching episode with Ruby, and we have a big boy!!
