“God is not a belief to which you give your assent. God becomes a reality whom you know intimately, meet everyday, one whose strength becomes your strength, whose love, your love. Live this life of the presence of God long enough and when someone asks you, “Do you believe there is a God?” you may find yourself answering, “No, I do not believe there is a God. I know there is a God.” ~Ernest Boyer, Jr. (Thanks, Ann)

Renaming my kids

If I'm going to invite the world to see my greatest treasures, then I feel compelled to re-name them. Like my blog-friends do. But I'm baffled. What to name them? A little help?

Big: Seeker. Believer. Faithful. Winks-at-Momma. Not-too-big-to-cuddle. Rather-read. How about Persistent? no. Purposeful.

Maybe I should ask them. They wanted to name their sister, Clock. See, they have great ideas.

Mid: Passionate? yep. Rough. yep. Heart-on-his-sleeve. Rugged. Clever. Inventor. Bulldozer. ooo - how about Industry? That's cool.

Little: Roo? she's too adorable for an animal name. Princess? too generic, but true. How about Delightful. Isn't she? Couldn't crop my raggedy-self out there - but she's delightful.

I need to think about this. Hmmm, and I can even name my sweet husband. He rescued me from my wretched grumps tonight. Wish I had a photo for that one. Hero.
